“THE SECRETS OF JONATHAN SPERRY” TO LANCASTER
On September 25 Hollywood releases a movie that continues a trend toward Christian-friendly films. “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry” has been brought to the Lancaster area through a sponsorship by Dayspring Christian Academy and will be shown beginning Friday, September 25 at Penn Cinema. The films duration will depend on its ability to draw in viewers.
Popular actor Gavin MacLeod, made famous from his roles in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Love Boat,” is a devout Christian and said, “I have been acting for over 60 years, and it was a privilege to play this role.”

Dayspring Christian Academy Enhances Curriculum With Online Courses
Lancaster, PA – July 24, 2009 – (Dayspring Christian Academy) continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the delivery of excellent Christian education by adding online courses to its curriculum.

The school plans to supplement their current curriculum by offering online courses to meet a variety of needs, which include: enhancing summer school, offering more elective courses, offering more Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Dual Credit (college credit) courses to Juniors and Seniors who want to get a head start on college, offering courses to home school families in the area.). The school sees online courses providing solutions to scheduling challenges and other special situations that arise every year.

CCAC Track and Field Results!
It was a great day for the Warriors at the CCAC Track and Field Championships at Messiah College yesterday. The team came away with an armload of ribbons to cap off an exciting and fun competition! The Varsity Girls were led by Ellie Green, who is the new CCAC High School Girls high jump champion, breaking her own school record as well! Ellie also placed 5th in the 400 meter run, and was the anchor leg of the 3rd place 400 meter relay team, whose members included Ruth Sneller, Mollie Ehrgood and Carly Evangelista. Additionally, a personal best was marked for Mollie Ehrgood in the 100 meter dash. For the Varsity Boys: Eric Pettis smashed the school record in the High School boy’s long jump, making the finals and finishing in 6th place! He was the lead leg in the 400 meter relay, which included Chris Kendall, Matt Henry, and Wayne Bilheimer. The team established a new school record! For the Middle School girls: Erin Patterson came in 3rd in the 800 meter run, with a new personal record! She also took 4th place in the 100 meter dash, and 5th place in the 200 meter dash. For the Middle School boys: Jared Miller placed 5th in the 200 meter dash, and anchored the school record establishing 400 meter relay team, also made up of Tanner Hilton, Andrew Rabold, Elijah Jean. Tanner Hilton shaved 20 seconds off of his personal best time in the 1600 meter run, also posting his best time in the 800 meter run. Personal bests were also recorded by Andrew Rabold in the 1600 meter run and the 800 meter run, and by Elijah Jean in both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes. Praise the Lord for the ability to run and compete for His glory!
